Freeway Lakes County Park

6000 Three Lakes Road SE, Albany

Located southwest of the Albany where Oak Creek flows under I-5

Day use: open year-round

Description: Acquired by the Oregon State Highway Department in 1957 as a source of rock and fill materials for the construction of Interstate 5. The property was given to Linn County in 1965 for development as a public recreation area. The park's present development was completed in 1969. There are three lakes within the park (approximately 7-acres, 9-acres, and 21-acres).

The Oregon State Department of Fish and Wildlife stock brood trout in the lake during winter months. Because of warming of the water in the summer only warm water fish survive.
